What's on the menu

The ethos at Bowties is for providing home-cooked, traditional British dishes that celebrate the produce of local growers. Seasonality is all part of this, and the menu therefore tends to change from day to day. There are regular ‘specials’ that appear on the blackboard, such as locally sourced venison and game, when in season. The ‘Catch of the Day’ will vary according to what’s available.

Bowties does, however, specialise in potatoes, and these are available all-year-round! Potatoes come in many shapes, form and guises including hasselback; rosti; mash; wedges; and dishes such as colcannon, bubble and squeak, mustard and mash, and more.

  • There are ‘Light-Lunch Specials’ such as ‘One-Pot Hot Casserole’ and Jacket Potato with a choice of
    toppings.
  • More substantial main courses with starters and desserts.
  • Then, of course, there are cakes and home-baked scones which are available every day.
